The main purpose of Tolkien Week is to foster and encourage the love of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings trilogy, both in book and film format, and to help introduce the works of Tolkien to a new generation. 2024 is the 70th Anniversary of the publication of The Fellowship of the Ring.
